A Cross-Country Transformation: Garage Makeover

In December 2024, Kevin and his wife trusted us to transform their new Arizona garage into a functional and stylish storage space. Recently relocated from Pennsylvania, the couple researched several garage storage companies before reaching out to us, a small, family-owned and operated business. With Ryan, the owner, personally handling both the in-person consultation and the installation, they knew they were in capable hands.

During the consultation, Ryan worked closely with Kevin to design a storage solution tailored to their budget, storage needs, and space. Once the custom plan was finalized, we scheduled the installation to bring their vision to life.

On the left side of Kevin’s garage, we installed an 8-foot section of 24-inch-deep Monkey Bar Shelving. To maximize storage under the garage door track, we transitioned to a shallower 16-inch shelf for an additional 8 feet. The seamless transition between shelf depths ensured the design was both functional and visually appealing. To make the most of their space, we also extended the shelving with a 4-foot section along the back wall, creating a smooth “L” shape. This uninterrupted corner wrap added valuable storage while maintaining a cohesive look.

The back wall also featured a sink and rolling tool chest, which presented a unique challenge. To keep the space usable, we installed an inverted Monkey Bar Shelf above these fixtures. This allowed Kevin to store heavy items up high while leaving the sink and toolchest area fully accessible.

On the right side of the garage, we installed another 8-foot section of Monkey Bar Shelving, paired with a hanging set of “Adjustable Shelves” for smaller items like household supplies, keeping them organized and off the floor.

The pièce de résistance was a gorgeous butcher-block folding workbench. Equipped with a hydraulic dampener, the workbench lowers smoothly when released and folds neatly against the wall when not in use. This feature ensures it doesn’t become an obstacle for parking or a clutter magnet, all while adding a practical workspace to the garage.
